Its old Garnacha vines grow at high altitude on poor granite and sand, with cold nights and big temperature swings. For decades the grapes went into bulk wine. In the 2000s a small group of growers, including Fernando García and Daniel Landi of Comando G, began picking earlier and making light-handed wines that show the place.
