El Escoces Volante

Established in 2003, El Escocés Volante, or "The Flying Scot," is a wine venture located in Aragón, Spain, focusing on crafting premium wines, particularly emphasizing native varieties, notably Garnacha. The owner, Norrel Robertson, a native of Scotland, has over a decade of winemaking experience in Spain and is the sole residing Master of Wine in the country. Subsequently, in 2002-2003, he completed a Postgraduate Viticulture and Oenology program in New Zealand, with distinction. His journey led him to Spain in 2003, where he worked as a winemaker and developed a deep appreciation for the ancient Garnacha vineyards in the Calatayud region.

Today, Norrel crafts numerous award-winning wines sourced from carefully chosen high-altitude vineyards in Aragon. Additionally, he oversees winemaking projects in Murcia, Andalucia, and Galicia.
