True to the variety, this is a hugely aromatic wine. Fireworks of pineapple juice, lemon sherbet, grapefruit rind and lemon basil are grounded by muskier, earthier notes of wet hay and stones. The palate is viscous, gliding along the tongue. Flavors don't pop like they did on the nose, and the finish is a touch dirty, but there's still juicy drinkability here and that not-too-messed-with edge that carries so much wild appeal.
