Sourced from granitic soils in the Grand Cru Brand and aged in stainless steel, the 2015 Pinot Blanc Réserve / Pinot Blanc B offers a clear and smoky flintiness on the nose, which reflects the granitic terroir as well as the intense flavors from the 50+-year-old vines. There is perfect ripeness and precision here, even terroir character and herbal and refreshing citrus flavors. Pure, straight and elegant on the palate, it has a long, juicy, intense finish with grip and salinity; this is one of the finest Pinot Blancs I have tasted in Alsace from the 2015 vintage. It is very elegant, salty, pure and complex and reveals great finesse as well as perfectly ripe and juicy fruit. The finish is very long and stimulatingly round. A gorgeous wine with a stunning complexity.
