The last time I tasted the 2012 La Val Fermentado en Barrica, it was still in the same vintage. This wine is also produced with fruit from Finca Arantei. It was kept on the lees for six months. There are notes of orange peel infused with vanilla and a smoky touch. It also underwent batonnage, which might have added some leesy character. It finishes with sweet fruit sensations. The palate shows more wood influence.
