Les Crais is situated on the east side of the main road; it lies on the alluvial fan spreading out from the Combe de Lavaux. The site is warm and early-ripening, thanks to its well-draining limestone soil. The nose offers lifted red berry fruits and a spicy, wild note typical of Gevrey. Half of the grapes were destemmed, the rest vinified as whole bunches; the wine has a pleasing balance of soft fruit and pretty perfume. A fruity and open style of Gevrey with a gentle structure.
