"40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot, 20% Petit Verdot. Aged for 18 months in French oak of which 80% is new. Polished and sophisticated nose with lovely spice and black cherry fruit. Fine, chalky tannin, long on the palate with a lengthy savoury finish. Equidistant between Bordeaux and Hawkes Bay? Lovely flavour purity and excellent structure, with tangy acid and smooth tannin working together beautifully.
