As the name suggests, the plots facing south have a brownish-red color made up of alluvial river sand, clay and, above all, limestone. These are located in the municipality of St. Cyr, which borders the famous Brézé vineyards. This is the southernmost point in Saumur-Champigny and the vines are on average 45 years old. Completely destemmed, spontaneously fermented and expanded in steel tanks, used barriques and concrete containers, it represents the fruity Cabernet Franc variant in the domain's portfolio. Due to the exposed location, the berries are guaranteed to be ripe and result in a soft, warm and open-hearted style. In addition, there are delicious earthy notes that are so typical of this variety. A light, red-fruity-peppery wine with a hearty crunch and an attribute that we love so much: Niagara drink flow!
