While still a rich, polished wine, the 2019 bottling, like others in the Craggy lineup, has lightened up somewhat. Comforting aromas of mocha, licorice, red and black berries and baking spice are backed by a subtle but present lick of sweet, toasty oak. The lifted acidity and fine, powdery tannins make for a powerful if slightly austere palate. But this is crafted for the long haul and should age nicely until at least 2032.
