The 2017 shows a deep red/black color, with earthy aromas of black cherry and blackberry, earthy and meaty with violet and a bit of southern "garrigue." The palate is rich and ripe with black fruit liqueur and hints of licorice, lemon zest and earth. The finish is expansive, mouthwatering, gamey, mineral, and long, with fine persistence. This gorgeous Faconnieres is delicious now, as the complex, ripe fruit wraps around the firm acidity, mineral flavors and elegant tannins.
