Germano Ettore VR Vigna Rionda, Barolo DOCG, Italy 2014

Regular price $ 101.50

Garnet red color. The nose has splendid aromas of fresh fruit. We can identify the cherry, and the plum. Followed by flowers and with the classic violet and red rose petals. We already have more complex notes of cinchona and rhubarb too. You don’t need a great deal of experience to understand that we are in the presence of a Barolo and certainly not of a simple Nebbiolo. On the palate it confirms the promises of the already rich perfume prospect. Voluminous the sip, yet supported by a splendid structure, with the triple alliance of minerality, acidity and above all tannins. On the side of the substance, we observe the excellent glycerine, and the heat expressed by the alcohol content. In the retro olfaction aromas of aromatic herbs and red plums arrive. In summary, we are faced with the first vintage of a wine that will become famous. Not a simple Nebbiolo, nor a good Barolo, but a great Barolo from Serralunga.
