Viñedos de Pecina is the smallest of these village wines: five plots covering just 1.9 hectares in a narrow, high-altitude amphitheater at 637–672 meters above Peciña, a hamlet of San Vicente de la Sonsierra in Rioja Alta. Tempranillo with a generous share of Garnacha — hence the Burgundian bottle — it is perfumed and floral, layered with Mediterranean herbs over taut acidity and the fine, austere tannins of mountain Rioja.
