The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Palazzotto opens slowly in the glass to present a display of floral-infused blackberry, crushed stone and hints of wild herbs. This is silky and polished in feel, with cool-toned black fruits coasting across a medium-bodied frame. There’s a good amount of concentration and persistence here, leading me to believe that the best is yet to come. Inner violets, smoke and hints of geraniums linger over a coating of round tannins. This is a very pretty cool-climate Cabernet Sauvignon.
