All of Concha y Toro's Carmenere comes from Peumo, the classical zone for the grape in Cachapoal, from which they produced the impressive 2019 Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere, a wine that has improved tremendously in the last few years, controlling the ripeness and oaking. It's expressive and varietal, spicy and open, more subtle than the Gran Reserva but not as deep as the Terrunyo. This matured in French barriques and oak foudres for 12 months.
