80% Zinfandel and 20% Petite Sirah. Upfront aromas of blackberry jam and plum are buttressed by underpinnings of jammy, dark fruit flavors. The palate is rich and complex, with warm clove and cinnamon spice. The finish is sumptuous, with lingering mocha and traces of vanilla from the 25% French oak used in the aging of this wine. Excellent with pork ragù or mushroom risotto with truffles.
