The fruit for this wine was sourced from Southern Wairau Valleys, predominantly in the Waihopai Valley, an area renowned for its large diurnal difference with hot days and cool nights. The eleven-year-old vineyards are planted on alluvial soils over a clay base resulting in an even ripening throughout the vineyard. A jammy Pinot Noir with notes of confected strawberry, cooked cherries, blueberry pie filling, and cinnamon candy. Noticeable barrel notes of vanilla and baking spice.
