A single vineyard wine made from 90-100 year old, pre-phylloxera, Nerello Mascalese bush vines growing on the northern slopes of Mount Etna. This corner of Etna is home to softer, more ashen volcanic soils, and where Nerello really shows at its best. The resulting wines offer an extreme aromatic punch. A beautiful ruby colored wine that is intensely floral and perfumed. It reels with dried rose, powdered cocoa, dark cherry skin and raspberry candies straddled across a palate that is at once precise, complex, rich, lithe, persistent.
