The 2017 Chianti Classico Riserva Guardingo di Passignano is a powerhouse. A burst of sweet dark cherry, chocolate, spice, leather and a touch of new oak give the 2017 notable depth and concentration. Brooding and tannic, the 2017 is an imposing wine. I would give it a year or two in bottle, but I imagine it will always remain a powerhouse.
