The robe of Yquem 2006 has a light amber colour with a pretty gold and green reflection. The texture appears as fat and oily. The nose of this great Sauternes expresses aromatic purity and concentrated jammy elements at the same time. More precisely, this Yquem 2006 offers a candied structure: melon, quince, fresh mirabelle plum, citrus fruit, pineapple and mint. The swirling unveils botrytised and honeyed classic notes as a proof that this wine is a beautifully concentrated wine. On the mouth, the attack is sweet (128 grams of residual sugar) yet without suffering from weakness or flabbiness.
