The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Serpentières 1er Cru has a nicely detailed bouquet, timid at first, opening with aeration with brambly red fruit laced with wilted rose petals. The palate is well balanced with a peppery opening thanks to the 50% whole cluster, fine acidity with a slightly earthy yet still beautifully-defined finish. Excellent.
