Slightly more evident wood sets off fresh and markedly ripe aromas that are vaguely liqueur-like with notes of red raspberry, spice and pungent earth nuances. The richer, denser and more powerful flavors possess excellent verve while delivering fine persistence on the gently rustic, youthfully austere and balanced finish. This needs to develop better depth, but the underlying material appears to be present for that transformation to occur over time.
