About This Wine

From Mauro Veglio, a La Morra estate crafting classic single-vineyard Barolo across nineteen hectares of Piedmont's finest crus. Paiagallo is an important Menzione Geografica in the municipality of Barolo itself — gentle, rounded slopes of marly-sandy soil with southeast exposure. Vinified with long maceration and aged around 24 months in large French oak casks, honoring the estate's low-intervention, sustainable philosophy.

Jeweled ruby red. Pure and fruit-forward, with raspberry and red cherry lifted by crushed flowers, lavender, licorice, sweet cedar and a savory hint of dried autumn leaves and iron. The palate is complex and beautifully built, with ripe, chalky-fine tannins, even acidity and a gamey richness carrying a long finish. A Barolo made to age.
