Bright gold hue. Immediately toasty and ripe with lots of pastry, butter, lees and a hint of honey and hay to the ripe, lemon-curd and roasted-pineapple notes. Rich, ample and flavorful with a long, toasty finish. Bright acidity offsets the density and the oak flavors. Stylistically, this is quite oaky and conspicuous, but the quality is high. A little more refinement would take it to the next level. 90% chardonnay plus 7% semillon from Tupungato and 3% pinot grigio from La Consulta. Drink from 2023.
