Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard
Where no one anticipated them to ripen, Nicolás Catena Zapata dared to plant vines. The Adrianna Vineyard, located at over 5,000 feet elevation, is the unique wine terroir that he discovered as the culmination of his high-altitude wine revolution.
Over time, Nicolás Catena Zapata learned how altitude affects fruit quality. The average temperature drops and the difference between day and night temperatures rise as one ascends the Andes.
The climate here is perfect for the development of grapes. Each vineyard owned by the Catena Zapata family is separated into portions based on the kind of soil present. These parcels are independently farmed with the goal of promoting the fruit's most natural expression.
