The 2021 cuvée has the cranberry-like more tart fruit flavors that we always hope for in the Santa Cruz Mountains differentiating it from the more strawberry cola flavors of the North Coast and darker more blueberry flavors found further south. This is a maritime wine with acidity, lean, but not thin. There is just a touch of sweet richness from the 7% new oak. About 40% whole cluster through the lots. Fermented in open-tops with minimal cap management. This has always been and still is the best value in the Ghostwriter line-up.
