Aromas of pastry cream, pear, vanilla pod, fresh peach and struck match introduce the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs Gain, a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny wine that's bright and saline. It's a two-barrel cuvée, so it was still in wood on the lees when I tasted it.
