Marc-Emmanuel Cyrot and his brother, Olivier, represent the fourth generation of the Cyrot family at Domaine Cyrot-Buthiau. After the early passing of their father, their mother made the strategic decision to lease out the family vineyards, ensuring they were maintained during the brothers’ upbringing. Olivier, who studied viticulture, gradually reclaimed the family vineyards as lease agreements expired, allowing him to gain hands-on experience.

Domaine Cyrot-Buthiau now features a custom-built, highly functional cellar, originally designed by their father, where Olivier focuses on understanding the diverse terroirs they have inherited. With Marc-Emmanuel's support, Olivier has honed his winemaking skills, employing traditional methods such as hand-harvesting, de-stemming, and cold maceration before fermentation. Oak aging is carefully tailored to each vintage, typically ranging from 10% to 35%. Over the years, Domaine Cyrot-Buthiau has expanded both its portfolio and vineyard holdings, continuing to build on its rich family legacy.
