Gerard Tremblay, the 5th generation owner of this renowned Chablis domaine, has elevated the estate from 30 acres to a remarkable 100 acres, including 30 acres of prestigious first cru and Grand Cru vineyards. With a passion for preserving the essence of the region, Gerard Tremblay practices sustainable "Lutte raisonnée" viticulture, meticulously plowing the vineyards to maintain the unique Terroir.

This careful approach allows the Chardonnay grapes to express their vibrant personality, influenced by the distinct Kimmeridgian limestone and fossilized shell subsoil. Gerard Tremblay's son, Vincent, is now taking over winemaking responsibilities, ensuring a seamless transition to the next generation.

In 1990, the Tremblay family built a state-of-the-art winery and underground barrel cellar, designed to optimize the winemaking process through gravity flow. Gerard Tremblay's judicious use of oak aging enhances the secondary aromas of the Terroir without overwhelming the wine's essence.

The Vaudésir cuvée, a testament to Gerard Tremblay's expertise, is partially aged in oak barrels for 12 to 14 months, imparting complexity and depth to the wine. From sustainable viticulture to thoughtful winemaking, Gerard Tremblay's commitment to Chablis Terroir shines through in every bottle.
