Domaine Michel Niellon

The Niellon family boasts three generations actively engaged in the domaine's operations. Guided by founder Michel Niellon and supported by his son-in-law, Michel Coutoux, who partnered in 1991, the estate has expanded its reach through strategic vineyard acquisitions and the construction of a state-of-the-art winery. Their shared efforts have significantly augmented production. Matthieu Bresson, the grandson of Niellon, further enriches the family legacy, having joined the winery following his education at La Lycée Viticole in Beaune. Each successive generation contributes distinctive expertise, culminating in the crafting of exceptional wines sourced from 1.7 acres of prime vineyards.

Matthieu Bresson, the offspring of Chantal, Michel Niellon's second daughter, integrated himself into the Domaine approximately a decade ago, subsequent to his tenure at the renowned Lycee Vitcole in Beaune. Representing the fourth generation, Bresson infuses fresh perspectives into the winemaking process. Situated in Chassagne Montrachet, the Domaine presently yields approximately 50,000 bottles across a diverse array of twelve Appellations, spanning from Bourgogne Chardonnay to Premier and Grand Crus. Notably, the wines undergo meticulous aging in oak barrels, with 20-30% being new, a practice harmoniously aligned with the unique terroir expression emblematic of the Domaine's renowned wines.
