Midnight-purple color. As brooding on the nose as the color would suggest, showing dark plum, loganberry, crushed minerals, graphite, iodine, and potting soil. The body is dense and full, packed with blackberry preserves, licorice, cocoa powder, and iron ore. The meaty density of this wine cannot be overstated, yet integrated tannins and soft minerals on the finish keep the palate in balance.
