Jean-Marc Brocard, the son of a farmer from the village of Chaudenay-le-Château in the Côte d'Or, discovered his love for the art of winemaking after marrying his childhood sweetheart Claudine, the daughter of vigneron Emile Petit from the Yonne Valley. Inspired by his father-in-law and mentored by "P'tit" Louis, a distant relative and vigneron from Chablis, Jean-Marc Brocard embraced a vision that combines traditional practices with modern winemaking techniques, fostering a profound respect for nature.

In 1973, Jean-Marc Brocard embarked on his winemaking journey, settling in Préhy, where he built his winery and a 1-hectare vineyard. Over the years, his estate has grown to encompass 120 hectares, producing over 30 unique single vineyard Chablis wines. In 1996, his son, Julien Brocard, joined the family business, sharing a vision to transition the entire estate to biodynamic and organic viticulture.

Jean-Marc Brocard's story exemplifies the passion and dedication that shape the art of winemaking, blending tradition and innovation to craft exceptional wines that capture the essence of the terroir.
