As is characteristic of this Argentine Malbec, it has one foot in the history of the Catena family and the other in the variety’s more recent evolution. Half of the blend is sourced from the Angélica Vineyard, planted in Maipú in 1930, while the other half comes from high-altitude vines in the Nicasia Vineyard (Altamira, Uco Valley), planted in 1996 at 1,100 meters. These two distinct eras converge in a wine bursting with fruit and energy. Floral and smoky notes mingle with subtle herbal hints, yet the centerpiece remains the intense, succulent fruit—a hallmark of a winery with unrivaled expertise in the craft.
