Bodega Numanthia

Founded in 1998 by the Eguren family, Numanthia is deeply rooted in a history that spans generations. The family's winemaking journey began in the Rioja region, but it was their discovery of the untamed beauty of Toro that inspired them to establish Numanthia. The name itself pays homage to the ancient city of Numancia, renowned for its resistance and resilience—an ethos that echoes in every bottle produced by the winery.

Numanthia's vineyards are situated in the rugged and arid landscape of Toro, where the extreme climate and unique soil composition contribute to the distinctive character of their wines. The old-vine Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) grapes thrive in these harsh conditions, producing low-yielding but intensely flavorful fruit. The vineyards are meticulously tended by a team that understands the delicate balance required to coax the best from these ancient vines.
