Drawing inspiration from his early experiences at Ridge Vineyards, Steve Kistler's passion for coastal wines led him to establish Occidental in 2011. The winery's journey began in 1995 with the planting of the original Occidental Vineyard on Taylor Lane, expanding over the years to encompass 85 acres of meticulously tended Pinot Noir vineyards.
Occidental-Kistler Vineyards is renowned for its pioneering role in developing the Freestone-Occidental area, pushing the boundaries of Pinot Noir cultivation to the very edge of the Pacific.
