The 2008 Barbaresco Riserva Quindicianni is another rich, imposing wine from Baricchi. Black fruit, leather, licorice, smoke, menthol and incense are all amplified in this potent, brooding wine. Here, too, readers will have to be patient. Alternatively, the 2008 needs a ton of air. It's a big wine that will thrill readers with classically leaning palates. I loved it all three times I tasted it.
