Colour: Intense, clean, deep cherry red with slight cardinal connotations on the rim of the glass.

Smell: Impressive nose of very ripe black and red fruits, almost candied, jams of black plums with hints of dark chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, toffee and a range of roasted, low forest interspersed with balsamic aromas.

Taste: Velvety entry, delicate and smooth but with excellent "heavy" flavors of blackberries, plums, cherry cherries and strawberries, all candied, English chocolate, mocha, cocoa and clear vanilla, hints of pipe tobacco, long and consistent with very ripe tannins, complex.
