The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres 1er Cru has a backward nose at the moment. I would like to see more mineralite and terroir expression develop by the time of bottling. The palate has a touch of struck match on the entry, a fine bead of acidity, and hints of butterscotch and dried honey, evidencing the warmth of the summer. A lot of extract on the finish here. Fine, though I preferred the 2021 at this stage.
