The Gran Terroir Pinot comes from a combination of vineyards in which 60% corresponds to Gualtallary vines and the rest to El Peral, both in the extreme north of the Uco Valley. While Gualtallary's calcareous soils provide nerve and tannic tension, El Peral adds red fruits and silkiness from its vineyards more than 1,000 meters up. The blend is produced with 50% whole bunches crushed in cement tanks. Aging lasted for 15 months, and the result is a wine that combines a structure of acidity and firm tannins that don't yield to any sweetness with red fruits and mineral tones. The latter end up dominating and leaving a very particular sensation of stones.

A pungent and rather earthy pinot noir, showing strawberries and fresh flowers with stem undertones. Medium body, light tannins and a vivid finish. Nicely done, in a lighter and fresher style. Drink now.
