Based on the 2020 vintage, the NV Champagne Brut Rose is a blended style with 47% Chardonnay, 20% Meunier, and the rest Pinot Noir, 9% of which is red wine coming from Les Riceys. From 2020 onward the house began blocking malolactic fermentation on the Meunier to retain more complexity. This rose pours a bright pink hue and opens to delicate reductive and smoky aromas lifting from the glass, including loads of orange peel citrus, framboise, and fresh flowers. Medium-bodied and energetic, it has an excellent pithy structure and notes of wet stone as well as snappy lift through the finish. A very nice, food-friendly rosé, it will continue to improve over the coming 10-12 years.
