About This Wine

A red Barolo DOCG from Piedmont, Italy, made by Luciano Sandrone. The grape is 100% Nebbiolo, propagated from a single old vine Luciano found in 1987. The wine is named for Talin (Natale), the farmer who rented him the plot. It is vinified in a large open-topped wooden vat, then matured two years in French oak tonneaux, one year in large casks and three years in bottle, and is released six years after the vintage.

Luciano Sandrone started making wine in the family garage in the 1970s and now runs the Barolo estate with his son Luca. The estate works only with Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto, and every fermentation is spontaneous with indigenous yeasts.
