The Alois Lageder 2020 Pinot Noir Krafuss has a hard-core vein of minerality that cuts straight through. It is softened by aromas of candied fruit, watermelon, mountain flower, chamomile and sweet earth. This Pinot Noir shows a pronounced botanical side with green herbs and wildflowers. This wine hails from a hot vintage and does not show the extreme energy or momentum that this grape is capable of in a cooler growing season. It holds back just a bit.
