About This Wine

Ribera del Cuarzo's Especial comes exclusively from the five-hectare Araucana Vineyard in Río Negro, Patagonia — calcareous soils, cool nights and strong winds giving excellent concentration and marked natural acidity. Malbec-led, with a touch of Petit Verdot.

A wine of dense-packed black fruit, licorice, peaty earth, damp forest floor and rich dark chocolate, with elegant prune and leather. Intense, rich and silky, with a velvety texture, juniper-like complexity and lingering spice on a long, harmonious finish. Built to age.
