From gravelly, sandy soils (alluvial sediments from the Ur-Danube) with only a thin layer of loess, the 2019 Gobelsburg Ried Steinsetz offers a bright, clear, fresh and gravelly bouquet of white fruits with concentrated lemon aromas. Very elegant, precise and refined on the palate, this is a full-bodied, piquant and lemon-scented Steinsetz Veltliner with a serious mineral and tannin grip. This 2019 is bright and shiny and would deserve a 1er cru status. Absolutely gorgeous.
