2019 | Château de Laborde 'Les Goulots' | Gevrey-Chambertin

In 1998, Hervé Kerlann and his wife Mandy fell in love with Château de Laborde. With a winemaking history dating back to 1704, it’s steeped in history and located alongside some of the finest Burgundy terroirs. For nearly twenty years, Hervé has worked tirelessly to reconnect Château de Laborde to its wine-growing past. The vines here have an average age of 40 years, resulting in smaller yields of grapes – but with incredibly concentrated flavours. Expect complex notes of menthol and red berries, with hints of cedar and liquorice. Its smooth tannins and pronounced flavours make it an ideal pairing for fillet steak.
