Les Champs Claudes sits below the Morgeot Premier Cru on the north side of Santenay close to Chassagne-Montrachet and is a very serious village wine on chalky soils. Aged in 25% new wood, this has bright, sappy, refreshing fruit flavours of red berries and pomegranate, some vanilla spice and sappy underlying acidity. Great value from the Bachey-Legros brothers.
