The 2022 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru was the only cuvée still in barrel to improve the tannins. It has a very composed bouquet with cranberry, raspberry and light pressed flower scents, just a faint sous-bois scent in the wings. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiseled tannins. Not a powerful or grippy Grand Cru by any means, but it is surfeit with transparency and Pinoté, lingering long on the aftertaste. Excellent.

Bright mid crimson to ruby. First up is a fresh and simple fruit. Afterwards, it shows on the palate with a more serene weight, fresh red berries and a little orange zest, ripe tannins behind, and a fresh acidity. The whole is there but this is not demonstrative. This has been racked and sent back to barrel.
