The proportion of new wood has been reduced to 45%, with 70% whole bunch vinification. This is really lovely, heady with ripe cherries, lovely perfume and pepper together. This really is gorgeous, as fine as I can remember because the tweaking of the technique adds finesse to the sumptuous style. Lots of detail, good acidity, and the perfumed ripeness which returns. Impeccable, a rare ethereal wine in this vintage.
