The 2022 vintage was predestined for juicy and refined Pinot Noir. Only fully ripe and healthy grapes were harvested and carefully vinified. Only 15 percent of the wine was made from new French barriques. Accordingly, the wine reveals red berry notes on the nose. Raspberry, a hint of sweet cherry, very playful and stimulating. Not loud or intrusive, but rather beguiling and fragrant. On the palate, a very direct minerality and spice, some graphite and bay leaves, but also the clear berry character. Great balance, chiseled acidity, and impressive length for an estate wine.
