The 2021er Ritsch Riesling Auslese, as it is referred to on the front label, was made from clean grapes picked at 95° Oechsle and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar (75 g/l). It presents a beautifully smoky and initially finely reductive nose which quickly gives way to complex scents of candied grapefruit, bergamot, yellow peach, pineapple, a touch of apricot, and minty herbs. The wine coats the palate with ample sweet and juicy fruits and leaves a clean and long feel of almond cream in the finish.
