The 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Mourre Des Perdrix comes from sandier soils near the estate, and it was raised in concrete tanks, demi-muids, oak barrels, and foudres. Always the most elegant of the cuvées from this estate, the 2022 is no exception, offering a remarkable perfume of sweet red fruits, Provençal spice, loamy soils, and a beautiful sense of minerality. It's medium to full-bodied, has a seamless, elegant mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and a great finish. I love it today, yet this will evolve gracefully for at least 10-12 years.
